The Core Drill is a two-part tool that is mounted together, the magnet base can be placed separately or together with the drilling tool as one unit.

- The Core Drill is a two-part tool that is mounted together, the magnet base can be placed separately or together with the drilling tool as one unit.
- Magnet base have no connections to ROV, the Drilling tool can easily be removed from mounting base for recovery to deck while mounting base is still in place. This ensures that you can proceed with drilling in exact same position.
- Stroke function has a spring-loaded nut that controls the force against the material that isto be drilled. This function also has a shut off valve that stops the hydraulic flow through the stroke motor when spring is loaded with desired force. When spring loses force the shut off valve opens the flow through the motor again.
- The hydraulic circuit is fitted with a non-return valve for overriding shut of valve. This function is there to allow retraction of the Drill bit when full spring force is established.
