For the second year running, Saga Subsea joined forces with HighComp, CSUB, and IKM PRS to host “Førkalas“. With over 100 attendees from across the offshore and aquaculture sectors, the HighComp and CSUB offices in Haugesund set the perfect stage for a great evening ahead of the Bykalas festival.
An Evening of Food, Fun and Friendly Competition
Attendees were served fantastic food prepared by Ragnhild Junge, with excellent service setting the stage for the night. The evening then offered a great mix of high-speed RIB boat rides on the fjord and friendly—but competitive—rounds of beer pong, all set to great music by the well-known Haugesund DJ Ristesund.
A Strong Industry Community
We even had our Spanish colleagues from Las Palmas fly in just for the party. It was a great evening spent in good company, catching up with friends and partners from DeepOcean, Abyss, DOF, Eidesvik, IKM Gruppen, Kystdesign, Ocean Installer, Reach Subsea, Sandvold Velde, and Vinje Industri, among others. It’s incredibly rewarding to have a dedicated event where we can gather with industry colleagues who truly understand our everyday reality. Being surrounded by so many like-minded people is a huge inspiration. Seeing so many colleagues and partners from across the industry gathered in one place reminds us of the strong community we have here in Haugalandet.
As the pre-party wrapped up, the entire group jumped on the local city mini-train, riding together in style to continue the festivities downtown at Bykalas. A massive thank you to our co-hosts and to everyone who joined us. You helped make this a tradition worth keeping—see you next year!
